[ cheers and applause ] which makes me the value price baloney in the handsome sandwich tonight. here's a potentially alarming story. scientists with the noaa have just released statistics that say 2012 was the hottest year ever in the united states. the average temperature was more than three degrees hotter than average. yet somehow my fiancee is always cold. i don't know how that works. all 48 contiguous states had higher than average annual temperatures last year. scientists say if current trends continue, by 2020 all rappers with ice in their name could vanish. ice cube, vanilla, even coolio all gone. so the bad news is we're very close to living in a post-apocalyptic desert wasteland. the good news is we'll all get to ride around in really cool homemade dune buggies. that will be fun. the fox network had a plan to cool us off. on fox tonight, they aired a two-hour celebrity diving show called "stars in danger: the high dive." the show is based on a german format. anything based on a german format kind

kaepernick did it with his arm today. early on all falcons, matt ryan to jones, -0 in a flash. the falcons had 183 yards in the first quarter, the niners, minus two. jones niners finally wake up, la michael james, his first career touchdown. niners down 17-7. they score with less than two minutes remaining in the half. niners down 17-14. but matty ice drives the falcons 80-yard in seven plays, and tony gonzalez, who still has the ups. 24-14 falcons at the half. niners open the third with a frank gore touchdown. fourth quarter, gore again. finished with 21 carries, 0-yard, two t.d.'s, the niners take their first lead. a minute left. falcons anyplace niner territory. fourth and goal. bowman gets his arm in frond of white to knock the pass down. one last chance for the falcons and that's the way this game ends, way short of the end zone. the niners are going back to the super bowl for the first time since then 1994 season. 28-24 is the final. kaepernick, 16-21 in the air for 233 yards and a touchdown. only ran twice. matt ryan, three touchdowns in the first half but two turnovers in the secon

kaepernick did it with his arm today. early on matt ryan's arm was causing problems. 7-0 in a flash. falcons. and it continued. ryan to julio jones again, 17-0. looked like a falcon rout at this point. the niners finally wake up in the second quarter. james scoring his first career touchdown to get the niners on the board. they score again under 2:00 left in the half. kaepernick to davis for the touchdown. niners trail 17-14, matty ice, cool and calm. leading the falcons down the field to the forming cal star tony imlez, who said he would retire the end of the season. it was 24-14, and so frank gore took it in to make it 24 the missed field goal,ic harbaugh not happy. this didn't make him happy either, michael crabtree, drilled at the one, fumbled. atlanta recovered, killing the drive. but the 49ers relentless with gore, his second touchdown, makes it 28-24. the niners come back to take their first lead of the game. fourth down here, with just over a minute left and the falcons need this to convert, and and a half bowman gets the left hand to break it it. atlanta, with sex -- with six second
